Weekend away

Last Friday I thought it may be a good idea to go back home for a weekend to visit my family and friends, even though the train journey was tedious it was worth it. Spent the Friday travelling back to Stafford and had a lovely few drinks with my friends that I haven't seen for ages!!!! On the Saturday I ended up going to watch the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie with my brother and sister, so good! And in the afternoon spent with the mother and my sisters cute little puggle! But then on the Sunday my dad decided it would be a great idea for a day trip, so guess where we ended up going as per usual? That's right, WALES! This time we only spent half the day in Barmouth with a little wonder around the town and down across the train tracks (usually going across these with my mum my sister and I make the noise of the barrier just because and it is rather amusing). Then we travelled down to Porthmaddog, and my goodness the harbour there is beautiful. I only ever remember going into the town on the way back from Snowdon or making a pitstop at the petrol station. But it was so pretty. However, Wales is not the place to travel around if you get car sickness (take that as a fair warning). But still the views were worth it.

Weekend well spent I'd say! Drinks, movie and beautiful views (which I will share below for you all to see)

Games I'm digging lately.

It's been a while, I'm sure I always say this (or at least think this) every time I post a new post. Although I'll be honest I haven't really had much time spare these days since starting my new job. With all the travelling to and from work I'm out the house for just under 12 hours each day, then come the weekend I just want to fall asleep all day. Birmingham German Market

The festive season is upon us once again and it is that time of year when Birmingham have their German market. I know it isn't even December yet and recognise that Christmas associations should not be around until the 1st of December but I still have attended something Christmas related oops (total Scrooge here but hey ho). The German market is an absolutely brilliant way to get into the Christmas spirit because it has so much German festivity, like bright lights and hot chocolate (not forgetting the very strong German beer! omnomnom). The market is also packed with a great variety of potential Christmas gifts for family and friends. This year the market is bigger than ever going through the high street all the way around to the library, thus there is an even bigger selection of gifts, foods, drinks, and a helluva lot of pretty things! Newton Faulkner

In 2010 I was introduced to a new song by someone I had never heard of before and I fell in love with the music. That song was Dream Catch Me by Newton Faulkner. I started listening to more songs by this artist and I just felt at home with some of the songs I heard, they were super catchy. I used to listen to them on my MP3 player whilst walking around the canals and through the countryside on many summer evenings. Now, 7 years later I have seen this guy perform in person and it was incredible. There's nothing more satisfying and heart warming that going to see someone who has been in some of your fondest memories. It was like reliving my youth again, when I say my youth I just mean my teenage years. The tickets were a birthday present for my 22nd birthday this year from my wonderful fiance, Kee, who I have mentioned on here several times before. It was one of the best birthday presents I have ever had because memories will last a lot longer than a bottle of wine.
